Question Header Question

Im rebuilding a motor for my mustang and a friend of mine gave me a set of shorty headers for the motor i have a question about them because right beside the bolts the pipe curves in on all the pipes
Does this cause a lose in power?
Is there a reason for this?
Is it normal?
Just would like to know if this is a normal thing or why they would be like this
thanks for any help

i would just run them until you decide to upgrade the rest of the top-end. It may be a little difference but, not really worth it in stock form.

save that money until you know the car is going to run with no other problems.

Get a set of aftermarket headers. Sit beside the stock headers and you can see difference. Short, long, equal, unequal, painted, stainless, chrome, and ceramic. The next what do I buy? Bubba

if you dont have to pass smog where you live, go with long tube headers.
