T5 4cyl ripe off??
Hi guys,</P>
What is first and second gear for a 4 cylinder T5? I drove two hours to buy a WC HD T5 with 2.95 first gear and when I got there the box had 87 cast stamping all over it, aluminum front bearing retainer, and turned 4.00:1 first gear and 2.50:1 second gear, three (1.34:1) and fourth (1:1)are the same as a regular V8 T5. So all I can figure is this suppose WC HD T5"thing" is a4 cylinder box and the guy tried to rip me off a cool $1000.</P>
So any one know the gears for a 4 cylinder T5 1987 box?</P>

FYI</P>
Found the info 2.3L T5 first gear is 3.97:1 and OD is 0.79:1. Can't believe that in this techno info age that people still try and con you into buying something like this. </P>

The only reason I brought the drive shaft yoke and turned over the box was to make sure it wasn't a regular 3.35. Then I find this out 4.00:1 WTF. The guy advertised on a local board brand new 2.95 first gear WC HD T5 bought in AUG 2003 for $2100 selling because he's buyingmy friends AOD Lentech for drag racing. Wanted $1000 firm,I'm just venting because hewasted my whole day and now thewife's on my back because of it.</P>
