tranny adjustments?
Hey guys and gals,
I have a question about my tranny in my 1988 Mustang LX. I just recently drained all the fluid and replaced it with Royal Purple tranny fluid. I still seem to be having the same slight problem that I had before. It shifts really well until it gets to overdrive. It doesn't seem to be slipping but it feels like it's hesitating alot before it does get into od. It feels like to me that it just needs to be adjusted. I did a search on how to adjust the shifting but I couldn't find anything. If you guys could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Oh one more thing- is it normal to go from first to second in a normal fashion but from second to third real quick? Again thanks for any help you can give me.

Sounds like you have internal issues with the bands, but you could give the TV cable a quick try.

Thanxs alot Mattdel I'll go check the adjustment. I don't think it will be that though because I just put a new throttle body on my car so it is probably adjusted as well as can be. Would different gears in the rear change the way it shifts? I just had 373 gears put in last year. Thanks again for your help.
