Default Modifications to fit a KB?

Hello, im looking to get a Kenne Bell kit to bolt on to my 94 gt soon, but I want the Flowzilla kit with it, so I will need GT40 stuff. I was wondering if I have to use GT40 heads with the GT40 manifold (im looking into some AFR185's), and also if you can use the GT40 lower in combination with the stock 94 upper; that way I wouldnt need a new hood to fit the taller GT40 upper... ?

help appreciated =]

and an explanation to how the KB attaches overall would be great too (more the Flowzilla attachment). Im fairly new to cars, still learning. I've tried reading a number of forum posts and the KB web articles, still a bit confusing for me. =/

the kb replaces your plenum. I even call mine the plenum. The gt-40 will work with afr 185s but, the ports on the head will be larger than the ports on the intake. It would be a great benefit to you to get the intake ported to match the afr heads. Another thing I can tell you is keep the stock regulator with the flowzilla. A larger one will work with mine but, I have the 1.5 unit. Flowzilla won't let a taller regulator fit. Get 42 pound injectors and a tune. I wasn't happy with the fmu and got 42lb injectors and a tune. You may like it so, if it comes with the kit, might as well try it and see.

One other thing is, check into the pulley size you need to run with it. I believe the flowzilla uses a larger pulley in stock form and can give hood clearance issues. You may need to run a smaller pulley on the blower and on the crank to get the boost where you want it and not have hood clearance issues. Like I say though, check into it. I am not for certain on this. I know a larger pulley wouldn't fit on my 93 without issues.
