Unhappy 95 mustang distributor problem

died on me once rplaced coil wouldnt start lokked at didtributor rotor that was broken started right up later i was driving it shut off again when i got on it looked under the cap carbon build up on everthing inside rotor was still intact, brand new plugs wires coil. does anybody know whats going on?

lprobably a bad PIP sensor or less likely a TFI module bad

A remanufactured unit is a better alternative, the vanes rotor may also be damaged.

is a distributor hard to replace, will it require any timing ?

its one bolt at the base of it...but you just have to make sure that you have it set to Top Dead Center so you can install the new dizzy in the correct orientation

how would i avoid that? is that something i can just a mark off then replace where that mark is?

yup. mark the position of the base of the dizzy, and make another mark where the rotor is. be mindful that the rotor will spin clockwise as it meshes with the cam.
