My problem is, the key is stuck in the ignition.
I put it in to unlock the steering wheel and now I cant get it out!
Any ideas?

going to need to replace the lock cylinder.
take the shroud off of the column, and turn the key to the Run position. Underneath the lock cylinder will be a tiny hole. Insert anything strong, like a pick, into that hole and press up while pulling the key outwards, and the whole cylinder will come out.

 

That's it? Yup, that simple...that's it. New set of keys to loose.

 

ok, I got the cylinder out, and the key. Cant get it back in though... Do you mean I need to replace the cylinder? Is this just a junkyard part? what about keys?

 

never mind... I figured it out haha

 

i have the same problem on my 02 gt, my steering wheel locks up and i cnt remove or take the key out is this because of some safetly feature it only happens sometimes and i can eventually get it out should i replace the cylinder? and also my power locks r starting to go is tht the acuators?
