How easy are o2 sensor to break?
This wed. I am taking off my stock h pipe and bolting on a off road h pipe from bbk. I dont want to break the o2 sensor when I try to take them out. It is a 94' gt. So they have been in their quite some time and I heard they are easy to break. I dont have an extra $120 to buy new ones if they break. Is there a easy way or a trick to getting them out without damaging them? Thanks

i just took one out of my car the other day.i know its been in my h pipe since 2002.and i had to heat it up and use a pipe wrench and hit it with a hammer to get it to come out.but i think they cross threaded mine.i had to re tap the hole.only took me about 10 mins to get it out.

A good penetrating oil and heat is what you need since your in PA. Also a 6 point O2 socket is a good thing to have vs. a 12 point wrench.
Also put some antisieze on them when you put them back. That will make them come out easier in the future.
