Default Need help ASAP! Please! :(

Well, I recently got GT40p heads and exploder lower and upper intake manifold. Now that my car is all put together, it'll only start when I have the throttle pinned to the floor. Then after that, it'll only stay on if I'm giving it some gas.
If I release the throttle at all, it'll die. I've been messing around with the timing for three hours and nothing changes.

Also the car smokes like hell. I mean, this smoke burns the eyes and nostrils. Do I have some vacuums off or are the heads possibly ****?

Does anyone possibly have a vacuum diagram to hook up the Exploder manifold? Also I noticed there's a little sensor that's on the driver's side of the stock lower intake manifold that isn't there on the Exploder lower. Could that be a problem too?

Please, any help is appreciated. I have to get this car at least moving by tomorrow before work or I won't have any transportation.

are you certain you did the rockers correctly ? did you use a torque wrench that had foot/lbs or inch/pounds ?

if it was foot/lbs, did it have 20 on it or did you guesstimate a little

sounds like some valves are open to me cuz the rockers are torqued too much

Must of been a pain to align all those pushrods. Really do not see it happening, too much effort.

Oh you don't even know. It was a three person job. One held the head just above the head studs while me and another guy aligned the rods and made sure they went into their respective places as the heads were slowly let down. It is possibly, just not with one person.

Anyways, changed the cruddy oil to see if that'd change anything and all it did was lessen the smoking. Car did idle at one point but still sounded diesel-y.

It is very possible with one person, simple realy, slide the head on then slide the push rods in then raise the head up just enough to clear the pushrod with the rocker arms, only concern would be torq spec would be off on the heads! look for a blown head gasket soon!

Sounds like your air/fuel ratio is off , did you use the MAF and TB from the explorer or the mustang??

Why should I look for a blown head gasket soon?

Good Lord, what a effort..3 people. Is the maf for 24 lb injectors? Try loosening all rocker bolts. Tighten 5-11 ft lbs then go 18-26 ft lbs.
