My trak lock went out on saturday, and now i need to get that fixed. However, my friend had a 1993 F-150 with the 5.0 that he just rolled. Its at a salvage yard now, and and he had a detroit true trak posi in the rear end. Would that work in the rear end of my 94 mustang? Otherwise at the shop i was taking it to they wanted 300 dollars for a new trak lock, i bet i could get the detroit true trak for 50-100 dollars.

well you could rebuild your traction LOK for about 45 bucks if you did it yourself.

a trucks carrier is probably 31 spline and the stangs is 28. so if you upgraded teh axles then you could use it if not then no

I'm pretty sure in 1994 they went to 31 spline.....but ill have to ask the shop tomorrow.
