Hi all I'm new here and hoping to draw on some of the expertise in these forums. My 1992 LX 5 litre has intermittent signal and backup lights, the fuse is good. Does anyone have a good wiring diagram or know where I might find the problem?

I should also mention my hazard flashers work fine, the problem is much more common with the engine running and I just swapped out the transmission.

My signals went out intermitantly, not the back up lights though. After a lot of checking I found an old post about the ignition switch wiring plug coming lose on these cars. Sure enough that was it. One zip tie later no more weird on and off again problems. Might be your deal as well. Just take the two plastic peices off and wiggle the harness. If it solves your problem you and hold it in with a zip tie to the steering column.

hi im new here. i have a 92 lx im putting in a 5.0 motor out of a 91. i cant get it to firer

hey thoward, don't hijack threads, make one of your own, just friendly advice not trying to **** you off, and when you do make your new thread put a little more info in it, like: does it turn over, are you getting fuel, what tranny, what computer, they're are many many things you can tell us to help you, from what you posted i have no idea where to begin

Yes it turns over. The motor comes out of a 91. Got the wires and computer. but the wires are dff. on the car then the herness. idont know whats gets hot and what is ground. Dont know if the computer has power or not. but have power at the band new coil and fuel pump comes on.

Found the problem it's in the ignition switch. shoulbe an easy fix.
