just quick simple question hoping someone could respond ..having electrical probs aka no spark long story short just wondering if my coils bad or if wires are f'd up somehow...I have 2 5ohs ones 88 ones 89 -the 88 has no power going to the coil on either wires wit ignition on/off. but the 89 has both wires to coil hot. are they both f'd or once one wire has power it goes to other wire cuz its sposed to? I'd really appreciate sum info i mean anybody with a working stang could go check their coil to see if both wires get power or just one? an which one would that be ? (the red/greenone)?

 

You saying you have 2 Mustangs not running? No 12v check ignition switch.

 

on the the 88 check your ignition switch.... on the 89 it sounds like a coil isssue

 

F Yeah! fixd it..was fuse link in my harness...was the red/lt greem wire from ignition switch to coil..it had burnt up on one those hot days last week an thought it was just to my fuel pump so i had rewired an alternate power to my fuel pump an kept the burnt wire disconnected but i guess that red/ltgreen powers fuel pump and coil? F Yeah think i got it fixd just hope doesnt burn up again!!! Hhrrmmm no i gotta figure out this other 89 i got...my dumbarse went an bout a dif stang to use while i fixd my first one an got it for cheap cuz guy said needed new fuel pump but fixd the pump now wont start hmmmgotta do my process of elimination yay
