As it turns out, either the backing up out of the garage and resetting of the Emergency fuel shutoff switch or some sick combination of both cause the under dash Ignition Fuse to blow. I had looked it over twice now, but the spot where it burnt out wasn't immediately noticeable. This explains why no fuel pump whine, and no spark. btw, is 20a the correct fuse there?

At any rate, it starts right up without a hitch and we take it for a drive. Not 1k feet from the house it starts sputtering, turns out one of the spark plugs wasn't snug. We let it cool down and drive to autozone, it still does the same thing and runs really hot.

heres a video on our way back.

Maybe tomorrow I will start cleaning the injectors?
A friend has suggested fuel pressure test and to check the timing.

Hook up a fuel pressure gauge and drive. What are you saying is "hot"? Where on factory gauge(notoriously innaccurate) Is it boiling - overflow?

Won't start now Zero spark
We have three Ignition coil, per a thread here on the forum we tested them and found two of the three to be good. A friend came over and we tested them on his GT. I also went ahead and tested various voltages to compare.

What should be the voltage be like coming from the msd box to the coil + & - inputs? from the factory harness we were pulling 12V from our friends we were getting ~1.0V and even less. His car starts ours doesn't so that would believe me to think we shouldn't be getting 12V from the harness. This is without the MSD box hooked up.

btw, if the MSD box were hooked up the plugs off of the harness would be plugged up to the MSD box and a return set of wires would be going back to the coil. We've tried testing for a spark with it hooked up to the stock harness and through the msd box with no difference.

we've not yet adjusted the timing or checked against fuel pressure yet because it hasn't since started.

Default CKP Crankshaft Position sensor

Where should the crankshaft position sensor(CKP) be located on a 5.0? seems like its in a different position than than the 3.8 which is all I can find reference to.

Oh yeah, great idea to replace the whole distributor... not. Replaced the pickup coil only and it started up great. If its not broke why fix it? thanks for the "help"
