Just bought 5.0 1993 Vert. At wot the motor bogs and backfires. Anythig below that seems to be fine, as far as reving. Any ideas will help. thanks

sounds like something to do with your engine misfiring. I had a similar problem when i would just cruise at about 25 mph i'd be fine. But if i gunned it, it would bog down. I bought a new MSD cap and rotor, and new spark plugs and everything was fixed.

Suggestion: Make sure your spark wires are in the correct firing order. From there, replace your cap and rotor, and possibly your wires, and spark plugs.

Hook up fuel pressure gauge have a assistant watch pressure as you drive.

I am old school and am going to try putting everything from a 1993 5.0 vert into a 1967 Mustang. Wish me luck!!!

izak try a couple of more guess parts. Bogs at wot and backfire. Bog, lack of fuel..backfire lean from lackof fuel. Hook up pressure gauge, have assistant monitor gauge while you drive. Pay careful attention during wot.
