I have had wiring headaches due to rednecked cobbled together messes, i just picked up a 1988 mustang dash/gauge cluster/ heater box/ center console/ wiring harness. How hard is it to put into my 1985 mustang? I have everything from the donor vehicle, and am just wondering about the interchangeability of all of the parts. Thank you in advanced.

hardest part is changing out the wiring harness, after that its just how complete your new dash is, also with the 88 dash you'll want an 88 center console or you'll have a nice hole where you radio should be

Just curious..why would u want to put an Aero dash in a 4-eye??

pretty common swap, me personally i like the four eye dash, our 84 gt has the red backlight and i wish my 93 had that (its cool) but they're hard to find in good shape (four eye dash)

i like the 4-eye dash myself...alot of people who've done the aero swap seem to have wished they stayed with the stock dash down the road. My '86 GT had the red backlight. I swapped my bulbs in my old '84 with red LED's to try to match it..didn't turn out too bad but it was pretty dark.

Its a complete dash, wiring harness, console, bezels, and switches, the whole shabang. I am just looking to see if anyone knows whether or not the connectors will all match up, or am i going to be doing alot of cutting, splicing, studying wiring diagrams to get it to function halfway? I am doing the swap for a few reasons, one, my heater box wiring is all messed up and everything else in the dash wiring is jerry rigged, and two, i like the aero dash, but dont like the aero nose.
