Default Fuel System Questions

Hey all, I have been having some fuel pressure issues, and I recently replaced my fuel filter to no avail, hoping to have a cheap fix. I eventually want to have AN lines on the car for reliability's sake, and I have a Walbro 255lph fuel pump sitting at home ready to be installed. But I figured while I was doing that it may be a good time to swap out the fuel lines as well.

I eventually want to supercharge this car to over 700hp (Obviously, just waiting on the money thing), and I keep seeing threads about sumps. Should I be skipping out on the Walbro pump and going right to a sump?? Anyone have any helpful suggestions for me?

Thanks in advance.

Not an expert, but I'd say the only advantage of a sump pump in the fuel tank is you won't run on empty as fast which prevents air in the lines. I'm prob wrong... but, 2 cents.

yes, you should sump the tank. A car making ~500hp can run the baffle are dry in the tank during a hard take off... which makes for all kinda of cool problems with running lean.

My new engine will be getting a sumped tank

Ok well that makes good sense. Will I still be able to use the Walbro pump that I purchased? Also, do lowered vehicles see any problems with the sumped tank, being that the sump itsself will present a lower than typical area on the tank?

Do you recommend purchasing a sumped fuel cell, or just welding in a sump onto the stock tank?

Does anyone have a particular fuel cell or weld-in sump to use?

Thanks again

Also- how does one go about installing AN fuel lines, and what size would be recommended? Should i put in a fuel pressure regulator or anything else like that at the same time?

Thanks guys

the walbro pump will be useless to you. If you were smart, youd buy the Aeromotive tank kit and remove all the guess work.

also, the sump on the tank doesnt hang down, it usually sticks further rearward.
