hello, I just bought a 1995 mustang gt convertible with 5.0 115,000 miles and auto trans for 900 bucks because the trans has problems, engine leaks oil and needs new rack and pinion steering. when you start the car it will go into reverse but it wont go foward. when the car warms up it will go foward and runs fine so do I need a new trans ?

 

rebuild or replace.... kinda obvious

 

someone told me to just changs the fluid/filter but I dont want to waste money if its not going to help

 

check the fluid level first.
