gauge lights

Default gauge lights

i plug a phone charger into me lighter and it started to smoke so i ripped the fuse out then i realized later that the gauge lighs dont work i checked every fuse and none are blown and i took the console apart and the wiring from the lighter is melted together with the light that lights up for the ashtray light and i think it grounded the light and burnt something up but im not sure what if someone could tell me

if something is melted usually it is very easy to see the point that was shorted, follow your nose. Be sure to insulate ANY bare copper and then go back and check EVERY fuse again. Don't forget the fuses under the hood.
