Default Replace Steering Wheel

Hi All

Just picked up a 90 LX and the stock steering wheel was replaced with an aftermarket one. The guy gave me the stock steering wheel and I want to restore it back to the original one.

Besides disconnecting the battery for an ample amount of time, any other precautions I need to take to make sure the air bag does not deploy?

Once you let the car set with the battery disconnected for a while you should be safe. Be sure to use a puller so you dont damage the clock spring. Those are a pain to rewind.

Also, don't have a false sense of safety just because the battery has been disconnected for a while... an electric current is the primary method for an airbag to discharge but not the only one.
