Default wont start sometimes!

Ive got a 87 gt and After driving to normal temps i can stop at a couple different places and the car will start right up but then i stop after 2 or three different places come out and try to start it doesnt start. the voltage drops enough to get it to start and the pos batt terminal is hot as hell. I am no way any good with electrical but what would cause voltage to drop the pos battery terminal to get hot as f$#k. That terminal connector isnt in bad condition and theres an excessory wire attached used for nothing. And i wont have this problem again for a while. Happens at the most inconvenient times. Thanks for the help.

your starter is overheating. Do a high torque mini starter conversion... like a 93-95 starter

excessive current draw causes a wire to heat up either due to a bad connection/ ground or a bad wire or starter itself, check the battery cables and ground cable for the battery as well as the wire going down to starter, also check selonoid for starter on fenderwell, if all check out fine by doing vlotage drop tests then as stated could be a bad starter
