Default Where do these horn wires go?

On my 87 GT the horn doesn't work. I popped off the horn pad and found these two wires. If I touch them together the horn works.

So the horn pad is most likely worn out then? Is there a write-up somewhere on how to fix it or where can I buy one? The junk yards around me have NO fox bodies.

There should be some prongs that stick out on the back of the pad that the wires connect to

If the horn pad has deteriorated it would allows the 2 copper halves to touch and the horn will blow which doesn't seem to be your problem.

You can buy the foam pad here
http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...ton-Repair-Pad

If you want to replace the foam pad

Horn Pad Replacement

Remove the Horn Cover from the wheel assembly by lifting up the front of the cover and removing it from the steering wheel.

Mark which wire goes to which terminal, that way when you get ready to reinstall the wires in the cover later you won’t have to not worry where they went.

Pull the rubber horn pad cover off of its plastic base, once the cover is off you'll see the two large flat copper round contacts with foam sandwiched in the middle. Gently push the 4 outer contacts with the small protrusion through the slots to release the top contact from the plastic base.

How that you have them split apart you’ll want clean off all of the old foam from both halves of the large round copper contacts, some replacement horn pad kits come with a Scotch Brite Pad for cleaning off any residue left from the old foam and cleaning the copper contacts.

If for some reason the top large copper contact is bent try to flatten it out some. Next install the new foam that will go in between the two contacts and reverse the procedure.
