Default Overdrive

Ok so I'm about to buy a 90 mustang LX 5.0 with an automatic but person says it won't shift into overdrive should I be worried? how long can you drive with out overdrive? How fast can you drive without overdrive? thanks guys I appreciate the help

needs a trans rebuild. figure about $1200 in addition to what the cost of the car is.

If you can do it yourself itd be 550 for a good clutch set and 2in od upgrade!

yup what he ^^^ said!! Your tranny is out!! If i was you i would buy the rebuild kit youreslf aswell as TC, shift kit etc, because i bet you anything you go to any local shop, that tranny will last you 1 yr tops! Buy the good **** and take it to a good shop!!
