Default many troubles

I HAVE JUST REBUILT MY 86 GT. IT IS .30 OVER WITH GT-40 P CODE HEADS. WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD IT RUNS TERRIBLE AND IT BACK FIRES. I HAVE TRIED ALL I KNOW TO FIX IT W/OUT LUCK. MAYBE YOU CAN HELP. ALSO DONT KNOW IF I HAVE CORRECT SPARK PLUG GAP. I HAVE THEM GAPPED AT 40. SORRY ABOUT ANY BAD SPELLING. THANKS TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP.

stock ignition NA should be about .o50
NA with MSD should be .055
a boosted or juiced motor should be anywhere from .027 to .40

well is it still SD? more details owuld help

IT IS STOCK IGNITION. NA. DSS PRO FORGED PISTONS. NON MASS AIR. STOCK CAM. 1.7 ROLLER ROCKERS. IVE BEEN TOLD MY TROUBLE MAY BE MY FUEL MIXTURE.

yea very well could be. do you have any vaccum leaks? also P heads arent drilled for smog did you drill yours?
