Harmonic Balancer installation, quick question
#11
They make a tool to hold the balancer so you can torq it but like i said a piece of long flat bar with some holes drilled in it to match the holes in iether the balancer or the rear end of the crank where you bolt the flywheel on . if you get somthing that you can bolt up on it like a handel it will help out.

This is as far as we could get it, my buddy held the threaded stud of the tool so the balancer wouldn't move and I put torqued the nut. Does this look like its on all the way, or should the crank snout be flush with the balancer (pics 2 & 3)?

it looks all the way to me. The crank spout should not be flush with the balancer other wise the washer that holds it on does nothing but tighten on the crank. If in doubt put the pullys on and check the alighnment of the belt. Im sure its on all the way though.
You really dont want to force the tool to push it any more or youll end up pulling the threads out of the crank snout.
