my 89 gt convertible is having power window issues, the drivers side goes up and down just fine but the passanger and 1/4 windows dont move at all. I havent had much time to get into it because i work offshore so i am just looking for things to try when i get home. could it just be a relay? any information will help and thanks in advance.

 

Relay, dirty switch, dead motor, bad ground, loose plug, broke wire, I doubt it's a fuse as I would think all windows would be on the same fuse, but check that anyway.

 

if the 1/4 windows don't work, press the button and can you hear the motors run but windows go nowhere?? if so they sell abushing rebuild kit to fix 1/4 window motors = common problem

 

no when i press the button i cant hear a motor whine. and can anybody tell me where the relay is? i can have my son check that before i get home, its going to be his car anyway. and thanks for the replys.

 

Relays are kinda hard to check besides just replacing and hoping that was the problem, check fuses and wiring and rule everything else out first.
