Hey 94GTconv My problem ended up being the MAF and timing was off. I also cleaned the throttle body and presto the car runs like a bat out of you know what. Hope you figure it out what is wrong with yours. Thanks for everyone that post here. I have learned alot here.

i'm so tired of this thing.....i'm thinking it might be the fuel pump just not flowing enough fuel, it backfires and runs as though it's not getting enough fuel, but i don't know...my girlfriend is getting pissy with me and wants to take it to a shop.

Well I thought I fixed it! It ran great for a day and now the backfiring demons are back!!! When it starts to act up as I sit in the car I can here a relay cutting in and out. I'm wondering if it is the fuel pump relay. Any thoughts?

get a fuel pressure guage...only real way to know, or unplug said relay. i'm going to take mine to a mechanic and have it looked at, rather pay 60$ and then fix it myself knowing the problem.

i took it to a mechanic, he spent 20 minutes with it, put tranny fluid in it, checked the timing, "wiggled the battery cables" and now it runs OK, in his words "i dunno..check the battery cables?" this just pisses me off, he had to of done something....if he did though, he sure won't say what...
