Default Need advice Edelbrock Streetmaster Intake (Roundman?)

I bought an edelbrock streetmaster Intake from my friend. This is an old intake, probably from the 1970's or something- so this may take an older dude to figure this one out. Has anyone ever had any experience with this intake. I am looking for opinions. Its a single plane and looks kinda like an Edelbrock Torker. I want this thing to pull hard from 2000-6000 rpms and im gonna be spraying a 125 shot. Thanks. By the way I have an Ecam and Edelbrock Performer heads. You guy think it'll work well or should I just sell it and get a Performer RPM intake. Thanks in advance for your help guys.

I think I would ditch the 'streetmaster'. It's almost a smog manifold and they sold them back when as sort of a stock replacement type thing as the whole world was falling over itself in the name of 'ecology'.
The modern stuff is much better, look on e-bay or something.....

do your self a favor get an old shelby 289 intake manifold, my dad used that on his, he bought a few diff intakes to try and like the shelby the best. it had great low end and pulled to 8k so ide say that would do the trick for ya.

The old Shelby stuff is nice but it will not do what the modern intakes will.......

Stuff like the 'RPM air gap' from Edelbrock and certain Weiand intakes.
There is just a lot more known about intake/carb stuff now than there was 30+ years ago.
Have you seen the new 'Funnel Ram' intakes for the SBF Windsor.
I'd like to try one on my 306....

a torker would be a good intake......the streetmaster was basically a single plan performer intake
