every once in awhile the car will flood out. happened to me the other day when i was at the hardware store and just happened again today. I checked the spark and its good. pulled the plugs and they are soaked. running at 40psi. AL 3924 gapped at .034. only running about 8psi. Thanks for the help

Have you checked the intake temperature sensor? I'm wondering if the sensor is starting to go south and reporting hotter temperatures to the ecu. This would create a lean condition, in which the computer would compensate by widening the injector pulse = flooded cylinder

When my ect went it was reporting temps of -40 intermittently and when it did this the computer would just pour the fuel to it and it would smoke black the rpms would buckle and it would die. Id have to crank it and crank it to get it started. So I put the ohm meter on it for about 15 min watched the ect readings and it would be dead on at 190-195 then suddenly dip to -40 voltage on the return would spike up to 5v then it would go normal again and voltage would drop to .6 and it would clear up.

Replaced the ect and it was fine after that.

Yeah I may have had that bass ackwards. In any case, I wouldn't run it that rich for very long for risk of washing down your cylinders with fuel
