its a good possibility, It could also be the egr valve is stuck open a tiny bit.

My bad on that last post Are there any way to check the eGR valve to see if it is stuck open

You can clean it just like you would your IAC sorta. Take it off and clean the valve and seat ..

Or you can just remove it and put a block plate in.
