89 lx mods???
<FONT face="Courier New, Courier, mono">Hey i just got an 89 lx 5.0, its a 5 speed and it already has 3.73 geers, h pipe with no cats, and a hurst short throw shifter, im still lookin for more cheap speed, would pullies really make that big of a difference? help me out with some cheap mods that will gain me hp</FONT></P>

Sounds like you have the simple things done. If you want to start with bolt ons there is so much you can do to that car its crazy, but then your spending money. It all depends on your budget,...</FONT>

well the tires will net your a .10 or 2 in your 60 foot and the fan will give you about 5-10hp....
pullies are good for your car about 10hp for 50.00
so would be some low ohm plug wires and a msd coil
syth. oil will net 1-1.5% hp
with the pullies and the ran a nice used 130 apm alt. would also help

its been proven that on topend youll gain HP with a set of pullies. but down low youll have problems charging if you have the stock alt. esp. with a stereo or efans. also with pullies it helps with cooling since they keep the coolant in the rad a hair longer.<edited><editID>ohsoquik02</editID><editDate>37978.2235300926</editDate></edited>
