Default 95gt equal length shorty install issues w/pics

hi
installing equal length shorties
passenger side is a bitch
so you can see in the pics, there is a line that is now touching the header.
headers get real hot. i dont know if this line can stand it? i think its an AC line. runs from radiator area through the fire wall. i had to move it up a bit to get the headers in. it has a clip and its normal location is pretty much directly wher e the tube is heightwise.
if i take the header off and push the pipe/tube/line/whatever down below the header pipe, i think in the end it will still be rubbing, but just rubbing underneath instead of on top.
there is still a little left of the insulation that is on the AC line, i think i could wedge a little between the AC line and header tube, but dont know how much it would help if help was actually needed to protect the AC line. you can see the clip and the remaining insulation in the pic.
AC line doesnt appear to be metal, but i could be wrong.
so, wtf do i do?

also, theres those two metal things that look the same, i think they have something to do with egr maybe? the header kit provided metal and rubber tubing to relocate some of the parts which i will try to figure out this weekend, but if that one metal thing is sitting on the header, it wont affect any function, right? maybe vibration would start marking up the header or soemthing, thats about it?

thanks in advance for any thoughts on this.
oh, i wasted a bunch of time painting the valve covers, paint chipped off all over the place. damn.

Looks like an A/C line to me, but it doesn't really matter what it is. Nothing will last long if its touching the headers. Try to pull it up out of the way and fasten it some how to the shock tower.

thanks
i was thinking maybe i could drill a new hole for the clip as high as possible, but that AC line is almost as high as it can go already. and i think i will have the same problem if i went under as far as how much play i have to work with.
i wish i knew how close it is with stock headers so i could judge how far i need to move it.

What was your reason for unequal length headers? I had an issue with my headers on my old mustang they are so big and take up so much space unequal length are just easier to install.

There is no difference in power with unequal and equal length shorty headers.
