missfire
Hello!! Ok here is what is happening. I was driving my car home from work and it started to miss fire. I got home and opened the hood. I inspected all wires, plugs and cap and rotor. Everything checked out. I took my test light and started to cancel cylinders. 1 cylinder didn’t make a difference (didn’t make it rougher). I checked for spark at that cylinder and I have spark. So I then did a compression test and got 135psi which is within specs with the other cylinders (5 psi off). So with that in mind I am thinking I must have a fuel delivery issue. I took my upper manifold off and my lower. I took off the valve cover and cranked the engine over by hand. The intake and exhaust valves are opening and closing. So that leaves me with the injector. Injectors are 19lb injectors.
Please answer these questions.
1) What do I do to check out the injector?
2) What do I do to test the injector?
3) What else can cause this?
4) What else should I check?
Also if you have time. I have taken this chance to remove my heads and port and polish them and install my eldlebrock upper and lower manifolds(rpms) with 1.7 RRs and 70mm throttle body. Should I buy different injectors?? If so what kind???
Thanks for your time!!!!!
