Default From 85 to 140

I was thinking of changing out my gauge cluster from the 85mph to the 140mph. This is on my '89. Do I need to change out the gear in the transmission, or can I just hook everything up?

if yours is a 89 it should have the 140 speedo already. but if not just plug and play
