Default Thanks for all your help

Thank you for the help found a small place that it was grounded and corrected it, still didn't start and come to find out I had the wrong firing order - In my defense 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 was what was in the hanes book so that is what i went by but mine was actually 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8. It does run and i got it in time but i have a small Tick that wasn't there before sounds like its coming from under alternator or around that area. I haven't checked to see if it changes with rpm or not I'm going to do that Monday (I have to work all weekend) .

Just curious, where did you end up finding the wire grounded at? Mine's not acting up, but if there's a spot that's prone to chafing, I'd rather address it sooner than later.

It was actually right behind the passenger side headlight car had been in accented before i got it and i was cleaning up wires around there and must have missed where that one was cut and wrapped it up in electrical tape.

If youve got the 15426378 firing order, somebody has removed the stock engine and replaced it with a Non HO 302.The ecu & cam would have been replaced too because a 94-95 Mustang ecu is programmed to work with the HO 302 cam & firing order. The Non HO engines also have less power than the HO.Im not doubting you,but are you sure you moved from the 1372 to 1542 firing order and not the other way around? ?

Yes it was on the 1372 and it would not crank at all and as soon as we moved it to 1542 it fired right up. yea im confused as to what motor I have now lol. I have heard the id tag for motor is behind the starter and i may just need to take it off and see exactly what im working with. Like i said my wife seen pretty mustang and i seen Frankenstein but happy wife happy life so Im going to have to figure it out.
