smog pump bypass

can u just run a short belt to bypass the smog pump i have a 91 gt with ac/ps/smog? did a seacch nothing came up

Go buy you a 770 k belt. That will fit a 302 without the smog as long as you still have the A/C.

I have a 93 with ac ps, and to bypass the smog it took an 84.5" belt

are there any vibration problems running the short belt i could use a new belt anyway

I used a #5060750 ribbed belt on a 82 gt. but we installed a 86 5.0L without the smog pump! Hardest part is finding a belt that will not be too close at the belt tensionor and the upper water pump pulley.

just order a belt for a 87-93 fox with no ac...the belt will work fine.
