Default C&L MAf...

Im going to get a C&L 76 MAf...But I have a BBK CAI and Id like to keep it and have both...but I heard you will get idle issues. Then I heard If you turn your MAF upsidedown then if will fix the idle problems..I want to get a C&l because there cheap 120 bucks on ebay...whats the deal with the C&L, Ive also heard that with a CAI it will idle fine....Ive heard both sides, whats the Deal with the MAF?

I still have stock injectors...I just want to buy a maf and TB this paycheck, but everyone says that the maf will make me run lean and have idle issues...IDK, It think with the TB and maf Ill get some good gains, then Ill get a FPR, and fuel pump...I have a very strong running motor just rebuild the whole engine 306 heads milled they were cleaned up and rebuilt....so I think ill get some good gains with my current mods , what do you think?

the stock mass air is a restriction even on a stock motor. you should see a nice gain from a mass air sensor and a 65mm tb.

the c&L should be fine if you return to the stock style fenderwell air intake.

after the install put it on a dyno with a wideband o2 sensor to make sure your a/f is safe.

Well hard to say if the need isnt there to burn more fuel then the gains won't be huge..... the only way you make more power changing Tb and MAF is if you engine is starving for air or cant get enough air... There was a guy on the corral making like 380 RWHP with a stock TB just to prove you can still make power with stock...... of course with a larger he would make more due to the fact that getting more air means getting more fuel and hense more pwoer......but on jsut a H/C/I car with mild bolt ons there isnt a HUGE need for more air I think tops you will flow 10hp more max. But its good to have if you plan on going with a more aggresive setup.
