Default 5-speed to auto

I searched and couldnt come up with an answer about what I would need to swap a t-5 out for an aod, I know your all thinking why the hell, but I am really partial to automatic transmissions for drag use and moderate street use, which my car will be doing, i am only planning on have 350 to the wheels with my set up so i dont think that i will be pushing the limits of the aod to bad, i do plan on upgrading the valve body of the aod or possible spending the money on a lentech aod but not sure, but back to the question, I have right now a 30k aod out of a 1991 conv, flex plate, and torque converter, and that is it, I think what I will need is a tranny cooler, + lines, computer from aod car and shifter, but I feel like im missing something so any help would be appreciated and if anyone has ever done this swap let me know what im getting into

u need the shifter including the cable, the trim for the shifter, tv cable, the pedal assembly, jumper wire for the neutral saftey switch i did the aod to t-5 swap its not hard just time consuming the pedals are the most aggravating u could just unbolt the clutch from the assembly the brake pedal will be a little smaller than an original automatic car but most people wont know the difference!

You don't need a new computer. The aod is operated by a throttle valve which is connected to the throttle body by a throttle cable. You will need different throttle linkage so you can hook up the throttle valve cable.
