Default roller rocker????

hey guys i got a quick question i hope you can help me with...i get an e303 cam with some tall *** valve covers and a cobra intake on my stang...no i cant afford some good heads so...i want to put roller rockers on my stock e7 heads...now hear is where i need your alls help.....will i need stud or pedastal mount roller rockers....and should i got with 1.6 or the 1.7...i'm trying to get the most out of my car as i possibly can....thanks for all and any help you all can provide for me...thank you..

You will need pedastal mount and the 1.6's would be plenty enough,but a cam with stock heads is just pissing in the wind,if i was you i would just leave the stock cam in it,get 1.7's and upgrade the springs and save some money and time....And if your car is still speed denstiy you will have major driveability issue's anyways with a aftermarket grind cam...

no the motor and all tha good stuff including the mass air..is out of my old 89 i had...i put it in the 88...i had planned on heads but you know how weman are around the holiday season...my piggy bank got robbed by my old lady...so i will have to do the best i can and do all the little things i can until i get the money again for some good heads...so you say the 1.6 are good...would the 1.7 be to big...and are they 7/16 or 3/8...thank you for all your help....and the cam with the stock heads had some good pick up, i was impressed...thank you..

I understand,the 1.7's might give you some PTV clearance problems so i would stick with the 1.6's also the pedastal mount only come in one size,only the stud mount do you have a option on the stud size...

Also your stock valve covers will clear as long as you take the oil baffle out with most RR's..

i have an E-303 cam in my car with 1.7 cobra RR and i dont have any problems at all

With that cam you should have no PTV clearance issues with adding 1.7 rockers. As far as heads go maybe you should look into a good set of rebuilt GT40-P heads as a cheap alternative for now. They would be a great upgrade from the stockers and usually dont cost too much if thier just stock rebuilds. Just a thought.
