Duration is what gives u power.

And with my stock heads a cam makes a huge difference. Just depends on the car.
And you don't have e7's netiher....gt40's or any more hi po head will work good with a aftermarket cam but the e7's are **** with out ALOT of port work...

wuts a dual pattern cam...?

When somebody says dual pattern cam they mean the intake and exhaust lobes have different grinds. ("grind" is how the lobes are ground, talkin about the duration And lift) A single pattern cam will have the same grinds for intake and exhuast. A dual pattern cam will usually(if not always) have more duration and lift for the exhaust valve, I have never seen or heard of it any other way, but who knows. Like I said, Im not an engine builder, so correct me if im wrong somebody, but my understanding is that ones not always better than the other, they just use dual pattern cams to make up for ****ty flowing exhaust ports. If you put on some good heads(or have the ported), you dont need to spend the extra $ on a dual grind cam.

What you should really do is email a good manufacturer, maybe lunati or comp and let them help you pick one out... they know thier ****. A general rule of thumb for a DD, pick a relativly short duration and get a decent lift so you dont f*ck up your idle and have the thing stalling out everytime you hit a traffic light[sm=lol.gif]

i ran b cam with gt40's and supercharged....403hp to the wheels... now i have milled gt40's, 1.6RR's and x-cam with fms bottom end and carbed....sounds real nice but heads dont flow enough for the cam.....i say that b cam with stock head works decent but need power adder for any real results....

But we wasen't talking about a cobra neither,so we was talking about e7's not 40's and a cam with stock E7'S is pointless unless you want poor driveability and gas mileage for nothing but sound...

just adding 1.7's to stock cam/heads will help.....those single pattern cams are just terrible as you need more lift on the exhaust side not just a lil more duration

stock heads and GT40 heads dont like anything over .500 lift stock without port work. so having a cam with alot lift is kinda pointless. get a cam with a good amount of duration but dont exceed the limits.

a steeda 18 cam is supposly one ot the most potent cam for stock setup

its 220/226 480/480 112
