That really depends on the cam profile and the heads. To be safe you should stay around 10:1 for 93 octane. I would run higher (100 octane) for your spray runs unless you stay around a 75-100 shot.

Correct on the cam influence, and don't forget elevation too. If you think you are borderline, do a compression test. I've heard you should not exceed 180 psi cranking if you want to stick to premium pump gas. This takes into account all factors mentioned above and before.
