i wonder if a bushing is real bad back there causing some change in aligment while hes doing that .

A bad bushing would have no affect, if any it would dog track, but because it is a staight axle wear like that has to be in the rear end itself. Also a question to <SPAN class=bold>nemethjames1 looking from behind the car do the tires appear to be leaning in at the top?</SPAN>

how often do you roast the tires (i know sometimes it happens when you dont mean to when driving a stang)???

you either have a bent axle or axle housing either way you need a new rear end
