Help me build a motor

RE: Help me build a motor
I have the TW heads on my 347 and I think they are great.
I have a Hawks racing forged crank ~ $400
I have SCAT forged H beam rods ~ $300
Just make sure you get forged dished pistons made to match with the TW heads. It does take a different piston. Trick flow forged pistons ~ $450 or Probe ~ $400

ok well the only thing wrong with the r302 block is that it is a race block and does not cool as well, i was looking into that and its not what i want, this is my DD car so it has to be built good but not get hot and stuff like that, and im dead set on trick flow tw heads unless someone comes out with something better before i build this motor. what crank do you suggest? thanks for the help

Many combinations work great. Did you see my vid of my 86 GT 347? I also have a 306 that made 450 RWHP with the stock crank and rods.

Whoa, wait a minute.
My 306 made 450+ hp on an engine dyno in Tucson AZ.
I use the Ford block out to 306CID
Forged crank/rods. Use the 'H' beams, use good bolts in the rods.. Use the flat top pistons and abot 58cc TFS twisted wedge heads (2.02X1.60)
Balance everything............
Vic jr. intake portmatched to heads. Modified BG 650 Carb.
Bassini step headers.
I've never mentioned camshaft. Hyd. roller, 1.6 rockers. Refse to give up too many secrets........
I use lots of care/carefull fitting of everything . Just like this was some sort of super/stock or something.......
