Hell yeah, well this project maybe put on hold so I can put in a new rack and pinion. I think that I might save some weight, and trouble, and engine load and go to a manual rack, my R&P is about to take a ****.

Let me get this straight...you guys choose and buy a cam based on a lopey idle sound? Just curious, I see that mentioned all the time on this forum. No flames intended, your cash, your car.

While you're at it, you might want to consider buying a Comp Cams complete kit. It comes with springs (the stock springs are very weak and tend to get worse with age), locks, retainers, a cam, lifters, and a timing chain. This way, when you decide to do a set of heads, you can buy a bare set and some valves, such as the RHS set and Manley valves on the Pro Mustang Performance website, instead of having to buy them assembled. I just sold a high-lift cam kit to someone, but they make lower lift ones also. Finally, another horsepower freeing modification would be a set of 1.7 roller rockers. I have those on the site from $194.99. In fact, Comp Cams has Cams designed for use with 1.7 Roller Rockers, over the stock 1.6 ratio. Let me know if you have any questions, I hope to hear from you soon.

Nope we don't all chose cams for a lopy sound, I'd like one that is going to perform well and sound even better, no flaming taken. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
