Good right up about the new intake. I have a 1995 GT, and looking to replace the intake with the tubular GT40, but after reading what you posted, I will probaly get the same one. Have you changed your throttle body to 65mm? Any information will be appreciated.

Boy was it some trouble. Going in to this project, i was thinking it was going to be a walk in the park. but it wasnt..But it is finally off my back and completed. Anyone wanting to do an upper and lower intake swap, but they are thinking they dont know if its worth it or not...DO IT!! normal bolt ons you cant feel really. but this swap..*(bolt on) is a definate must with a 5.0. it feels like i picked up 40 HP and sooo sooo much more torque. it is un real. when i race a buddy of mine from 40 mph to 120 mph ( on a closed street lol ) he used to always beat me by 3 to 5 cars. WELL....today we raced again, and i we were door to door until i hit 3rd gear. i finally beat him. i kept pulling on him until i was 2 cars ahead of him and he let off. Upper and lower intake swap is a must for us 5.0 guys/gals. i cant wait to go to the track on the 28th of this month. the track has been shut down for the holidays and it opens the 28th...let me know if anyone of you who have done this swap before. its the GT40 U/L intake. take care you all..
Eric
thats how it starts,

wait until you get into heads , stroker kits and a tune. Very addictive.
