well most of the times when you get your car repaired at a shop the parts are about 100 total and the labor another 200^. My gf payed 37 for parts and the total was 150 or something close to that.

Yeah I'm happy my step dad is a welder so I wont have to go through that. I think I will go with the powder coated ones from blue oval. I dont really want to get the bare ones because of rust an such. Or do you guys recommend getting the bare and doing something to them?

Thats funny, i just bought the same ones from blue oval but i got powdercoated red. I got them and i thought they were dinky but i guess there okay. The guys at the body shop thought the same also but you guys say there a worlds differance so we will see. I am getting them done along with other things. They are charging 3.5 hrs and 48 dollars an hour... not to bad i guess.
Its better then the **** bolted ones i had.Junk
When are you getting them installed?

I guess skilled labor is not worth much ehh? FWIW many people "think" they can just get a welder and go at it, most times theier welds look like booger stuck on a wall at best, not to mention that they are weak and will corode faster than a good weld. Figureing about 5 hours to do the install right (with metal preping takng out the carpet) it works out to $33 and change per hour, I know Union Welders who make more than that without the overhead of having your own buissness or shop.

Yeah welding is definately a skill that comes with practice. I know it has taken me a while learning in school, but I slowly got there. You gotta take out the carpet to install subframes?
