As was stated, everybody thinks welding is just picking up the mig gun or electrode holder and laying down a bead, but there are MANY more aspets to it. As i have found out, just because the weld looks good doesnt mean It has penetration worth a damn... im working on that though. When I first started O/A cutting I thought it would be easy but my cuts looked like ****. they still do, but they are getting better.

When I first started trying to weld I was able to break off what I thought I had "welded" on with a good kick. It takes an assload of practice to even become a ****ty welder like myself.

I just installed my BBK's last week... this was my preliminary bolt up.
After this I bought some shorter bolts since the ones the kit came with were a little too long.

I also got the red powdercoated regular length for blue oval industries, install took about 1 1/2 hours they made some very nice welds and rhino-lined over the welds.

These bolted up tight and fit perfectly. I like them.
I have to wait for winter to end before I can see how they work.

Well I think I might get them next month. I dont know I will see when I get home. I am getting new sparkplug wires and the looms so I dont know if I want to go ahead and buy them now or later.

I see. Thanks. I think I might just go with the bare to save some money. I want to get the U/L control arms and a battery relocation kit.
