Default Throttle Delay?

Downshift 4th to 2nd and the car takes off, but it doesn't feel like full power until maybe a second later and when it kicks in its rocket. Does anyone know why it takes a second before all the power kicks in?

if its auto, its the way the auto way works and not too much you can do about it. Manual it might be the rpms your downshifting too, like ohsoquik said

Default Throttle Delay?

I had a problem similar to that when I first got my Stang, turned out to be melted plug wires, they were grounding out on the headers. Never hurts to check.
