88 mustang GT Conv.. Good deal or not???
Ok I found a 88 Mustang GT Convertable 5speed. Runs ok, trans is ok. No rust, interior is ok. Drivers seat is a little worn. Can replace with good used one for 75 bux. Top isn't that great and has plastic rear window, can replace for 400 bux and me and a friend do it. NOW THE BAD!!!.........Its been hit in the front not to bad but bad enough. He has already replaced the hood. The fenders are ok but the core suport will have to be straightened. I can get a friend to straighten it for free or a hunert or so. He has everything to fix it except the nose. Also both of the side skirts are wavy as usual for these things. SO all in all it needs a top, drivers seat, side skirts, nose, the core suport straightened, and paint... I can get it for 1,300... ANd I ain't worried about it being speed density. THats an easy fix. What do you think.

Apparently 5.0 prices in my area are freakishly high. From what you've told me and based on what I've seen for sale thats a $2500 car minimum. If you have the time, money, and ambition it might be a good car for you.

Thats a great deal, I dont know about the whole convertible deal, Im not a big fan of them. but if you just want it for a daily driver and not something to race, then go for it. if you want to make it a runner i wouldnt cause convertible weigh more than an lx or gt thats not a convertible
