Trying to buy 5.0l Mustang (need advice)
well basicly im looking to buy an older car with cheap parts that i can work on, but also drive around. i want a mustang because of the good prices on parts, and i've specificly been looking at a supercharger. i have 5 grand to spend on buying one, any idea of what year/number of miles i should be looking for?
any help finding an inexpensive supercharger would be nice also.

89-92 is your best bet, they are all mass air and have forged pistons which you will need to supercharge, if over 100k it will probably need a rebuild for a superchaerger

forget the supercharger!
go for a 4-eye!!! 4 eye FTMFW!!!! get an '85 (carbed) or find an '86 that was converted to carb (like what I am doing right now) and get yourself a paxton carb supercharger if you really want one. but 4-eyes rock!!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with hypereutectic pistons. 100K miles is nothing either. As long as the compression test results are good, I wouldn't hesitate to put a supercharger on a 150K mile engine.
