Default 5.0 Newbie

Hey everyone, former Gm guy (Camaro, trans Am) I am looking at fox body mustangs. recently sold My iroc and have some money to play with.

Some questions.

if I cam/head and intake swap on a 5.0 Stang, what computer stuff is needed to be done (prom burning) if it is needed, are there chips avail. or are they custom burn needed?

Thats about it.

Thanks

either get it dyno tuned by a professional with a custom tune or buy a tweecer rt, megasquirtor something like that and do the tune yourself, these chips that are sold are not worth a flip from what I have read

Until you get comfortable working on it yourself (the computer / tuning) just have it done at a shop. It shouldn't cost too much though. Personally, I went with the Tweecer RT route. The Tweecer RT is a hardware / software combo that allows me to hook my laptop up to my car and tune it myself. The RT model runs about $550 and the base model is about $380, which is comparable to a dyno tune anyway.
