here is the deal for those who don't know. my drivers side door was bumped into by a guy with a plow truck before i got the car. i am wondering if i would save money if i just buy a new door and put it on then get the car sprayed. my question is are all doors created equal. i have power windows but that is it. i am looking to switch all of my interior parts to the door and didn't know if a non power window door would work or if certain years of doors are acctually different. any info is appreciated thanks.

Notch and Hatch, power and non-power window doors are the same. The only difference is the wiring for what ever power options the car has. The difference between the power and non-power windows is the register. If you switch to manual windows you will either have to get new door panels or punch holes in yours for the hand crank. Any 87 - 93 door will work. If you use older than 87 they will still work but the mirrors will be different and they will not have the proper window trim for the 87 - 93. I am in the process now of putting power window doors on my notch. My car originally had non-power everything I added the power mirrors and door locks. But sense I got hit and I had access to both power doors and I am making the conversion now.

cool that is good info. i am hoping it will save me some money rather then reworking the dent on the door. if i could find a maroon one it would be perfect.

i have a driver side power door from my 89 notch. its black and i am willing to sell it for $100. Not sure how far away you live though. not something you would try to ship.

i appreciate the offer but i am in mass. to far away. luckily there are mustangs everywhere so i should be able to find one easily just a matter if i can find a maroon one.
